Position Description:
Acting under the direction of the Adult Day Program
Supervisor, the ADP Instructional Assistant is responsible for
providing direct services to individuals with developmental
disabilities in a community-based day program setting.
The Instructional Assistant
is responsible for understanding the
goals and objectives of the individuals served as outlined in the
individuals’ Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and Individual
Service Plans (ISPs). The
ADP Instructional Assistant ensures the
safety, care, and welfare of individuals served by the program and
promotes increased independence by teaching activities of daily
living through planned curriculum, providing assistance with
self-care and hygiene, as well as meeting other personal needs.
Responsible for adhering to California Code of Regulations,
Titles 17 and 22, Consumer Rights, and all aspects of the
Individual Service Plan (ISP) process.
Entry-level wage of $14.00 per hour.
